Starting with the brush tip shape, right here at the top, and you can control the size, the roundness, angle, hardness, and spacing.
Here you have dozens of attributes that you can apply and customize for your new brush. So, to create a new brush, take one of the tools that use brushes, I'll just take the brush tool, and click on the button in the Options bar that looks like a folder to open the brush settings panel. It's great that you can access lots of built-in brushes and load other brushes from third-party resources, but sometimes you just need to create your own new brush for a particular use.
